Part 1 (18 January 1:15pm-4:30pm): An overview of the different spreadsheet applications available today. We’ll look at the aspects of design and functionality in spreadsheets that can help you to get insightful results from your data.

Part 2 (25 January 5:15pm-8:30pm): We’ll look at designing a spreadsheet that enables you to make decisions based on past, present and future outcomes. We’ll use an existing data set to describe the use of formulas, functions and formatting to produce relevant reports.

It will help you to:

  • Recognise different spreadsheet applications and choose the right one for your needs;
  • Outline different methods for data input to support spreadsheet design;
  • Interpret data and use spreadsheet tools to build reliable reports.
