Transparent & Collaborative Money Management with Open Collective

Open Collective is a platform for easy, transparent and collaborative money management.

It enables groups to pull money together and spend it transparently without having to open a legal entity or bank account, enabling you to apply and access funding that wouldn’t normally be available to unincorporated groups.

Fiscal host Accountable will take on the admin burden and process all transactions on your behalf – no more time wasted on making bank transfers, paying invoices, or reimbursing people!

It also makes it easy to make your decisions collaboratively, keep transparent financial records, and stay accountable to your group, funders and community.

By the end of this 1-hour workshop, you will know how to:

  • Set up a back office bank account for your group without creating a legal entity
  • Quickly and easily reimburse expenses and spend funds
  • Invite multiple admins to your page for collaborative decision-making
  • Begin fundraising and receiving donations
  • Customise your page and engage with supporters & beneficiaries

The workshop is delivered by Rowan Edwards & Matt Bell.

Rowan is a POP team member and has 2 years of experience using Accountable through POP’s named funds £250 a POP and POP Collectives, as well as Keyham Community Sparks.

Matt Bell joined POP as CEO in December 2018.

Attendees representing a Plymouth community group or organisation will have their £10.00 deposit refunded in full after attending, or if notice of absence is given before the event finishes.
