These practical workshops will provide you with the skills to make your workshops and training more engaging, interactive and focussed. Whether you’re new to facilitation, or just in need of a refresher, these sessions will enable you to refine your planning and delivery skills; both online and face-to-face. The workshops will cover:

This is a 2-part workshop with an optional part 3.
Part 1 (online) 13th October 10AM-12:30PM – Using Zoom we will explore warmups, planning, course content, and techniques for engaging participants.
Part 2 (face-to-face) 20th October 10AM-12:30PM – Building on skills gained in the online workshop, we will demonstrate additional techniques for engaging participants in a face-to-face setting. We’ll explore how to manage challenging situations, look at learning styles and associated approaches to ensure we are meeting the needs of all our participants.
Part 3 (online) 27th October – 10AM-12:30PM – Practice, practice, practice! This will be an opportunity to deliver sections of a workshop, test your own workshop ideas and get feedback from your peers on your delivery and content. We’ll also reflect on problem solving and what to do when things go wrong.
This workshop is parts of POP ideas’ themed “Making Some Noise” events, enabling groups and organisations to be heard; collaborate and influence. It covers: collaboration; networks and partnerships; campaigning; marketing & PR; and pitching.
Attendees representing a Plymouth community group or organisation will have their £10.00 deposit refunded in full after attending.
