Salary: £22,200 rising to £22,550 on successful completion of probation
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility to cover events during evenings and weekends
Holiday: 25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service per annum (plus bank holidays)

We support people in Cornwall, Devon and Wiltshire who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence and are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police. Every year we help thousands of men, women and children in the South West to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse. Due to the nature of the services that we provide our organisation has grown over the past 12 months to accommodate the increased demand for help and support. To help ensure we can meet this growing need, it is vitally important that we are able to effectively communicate across the various communication channels as well be able to engage with current and future service users, professionals and fundraisers.
The past 12 months has demonstrated the community’s willingness to recognise and talk about abuse and we are looking for someone with the drive and determination to help keep that conversation going. Do you want to make a difference? We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, creative, flexible and able to work unsupervised on a day to day basis, to join our well-established team. The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, Grants & Trusts Fundraiser, Service Director, Managers and must be able to forge strong relationships with trustees, staff and volunteers. The primary duty of this role is to be responsible for all marketing and communications activities, guiding the external voice and inspiring action to support the strategic objectives of the charity and increasing brand awareness across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, Devon and Wiltshire. You must be able to work flexibly across Devon, Cornwall and Wiltshire, and there is a requirement to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel across the South West as often as is required.
To help the successful candidate fulfil the role, we will deliver a comprehensive induction and training programme to help them understand the numerous services we provide across the region, as well as provide access to specialist training, external supervision and membership of our employee benefits, perks and reward programme.
Please note due to current Government restrictions regarding COVID-19 most staff are working from home. The successful applicant will subject to the Disclosure & Barring Scheme, and it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car to travel.
