About the role:
We are recruiting for two advisers to join our Local Services team supporting people who live, work and study in Plymouth and its surrounding areas.
Citizens Advice Plymouth are working together with Improving Lives Plymouth and Plymouth City Council, to provide a joined up quality information and advice service across Plymouth, known as Advice Plymouth. The service provides telephone, drop in, and casework support for Plymouth users, as well as advice consultancy and first line information training to a range of hubs and community workers. As an adviser you will be providing an effective and efficient advice service to support users who are referred to us.
In addition you will be part of the Emergency Food Grant programme to provide support for the people of the city who are facing the immediate effects of Covid-19, and to help address the future demand for support. The purpose of the project will be to make pro-active contact with all the relevant food charities and food aid organisations in the City, including those who receive funding through the Emergency Grants programme and other members of the Food Plymouth network, to design and promote an easy to access referral pathway for people receiving food aid or experiencing food insecurity.

This position will part of our face-to-face advice team and as such will be primarily based at our Cobourg House office in Plymouth.
