Website Age UK Plymouth
It’s an exciting time to join Age UK Plymouth, an ambitious and growing charity that is establishing new
services and strategic partnerships, enabling the charity to grow our footprint and provision in Plymouth. The Head of Community Support is one of the most important roles in supporting this growth, leading two fast growing and integral services for the charity.
The focus of this role will be to provide operational leadership and guidance to our Help@Home and
Discharge teams, which provide a multitude of support services for the older people of Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue and grow the excellent provision we have been providing at-risk and
vulnerable adults with pathways to independent living or back to home from hospital, enabling them to live self-sufficiently by providing essential domiciliary services. You will manage the team delivering these services, and will work closely with other service managers internally to ensure Help@Home and Discharge are part of the holistic delivery aims of the Charity.
This is an immensely rewarding role that can deliver instant impact to the Charity and enhance the way we work. We need an ambitious, flexible individual who feels comfortable dealing with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to harmonise working methods over both teams to provide seamless and quality services, enhancing the experiences of their colleagues, our clients, and other external partners. You will support and work alongside volunteers and employees in delivering excellence in a professional manner whilst executing all work to the highest standard.
This is a permanent, full time position, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, with a Monday-Friday working
pattern. Additional hours might be required to cover leave or busy periods, flexibility is therefore required. These hours and days may change due to the needs of the service in the future.
Salary is £30,395 p.a.
