Finance Assistant

Due to growth in the charity this role is required to support the Finance Manager with the day to day activities in the finance office. The post will involve a variety of different tasks but principally will be required to take responsibility for the sales and purchase ledgers, cash handling and posting, banking and credit control as well as providing other financial assistance as necessary.

This post is full time 37 hours per week but the hours can be flexible across Monday-Friday for the right individual.

Experience of payroll would be desirable. You will be a hardworking, organised and motivated individual who has experience of working in a busy finance office and ideally use of Sage Accounts and Payroll. You will be used to taking responsibility for a number of tasks in order to meet deadlines and are able to work well both on your own and as part of a team. Ideally you will have a full, clean driving licence and have access to a car to be able to go to the bank as part of the banking process. A mileage allowance will be paid (45p per mile).

The pay rate is £20,202 – £24,050 pro rata depending on experience. Holiday is 20 days plus bank holidays, rising by an additional day with each year of service up to a maximum of 5.  Occupational sick pay is available after successful completion of the probationary period.
