In collaboration between POP and EDP we are bringing community and prison together to create a morning event for the voluntary sector working within criminal justice. The event is designed for networking and to provide a forum to discuss opportunities that are arising. Plymouth is an exciting city and there is much on the horizon that we can get involved in.
In discussion with the sector it was felt that a breakfast meeting would be the most valuable use of time as it would give an opportunity to connect without taking too much time out of the working day.We are therefore launching the:
Our first event will be on the Friday the 15th of December
8am – 9.30am
This meeting will have three main focus points:
·The Mayflower 400*
*The Mayflower 400 in 2020 will require the city to recruit many volunteers as part of this huge celebration of the history of Plymouth, this process has already begun. The sector has been offered an opportunity to be part of this initiative to utilize these volunteers in creating a long lasting legacy for Plymouth. We would like to get ideas on how we can achieve this, starting with an opportunity to host volunteer’s event in late Jan early Feb.
