Join us on Monday 11th September for this in-person networking event! You’ll have the chance to catch up with your peers, make new connections, tell us about your work and hear from inspirational guest speakers. Our theme will be Anti-Racism & Structural Injustice and we’re excited to have 2 great speakers who will open up the conversation:

Jabo Butera, Managing Director at DBI www.dbi.org.uk

Jabo will outline the intricate issue of systemic racism and the critical role of inclusive leadership in combating racism and social injustice in our city. He will be exploring and using his personal lived experience and will invite us to have some potentially difficult conversations in a safe space.

Chi Bennett of WonderZoo https://www.wonderzoo.org/

Chi will be telling us about the work WonderZoo has done over the years on breaking down barriers and bringing people together to change lives and also 2 projects currently running – Celebrate Respect and Hidden Figures. Through performance work, they bring together diverse artists and audiences to create fun, empathy and understanding, and to give people of marginalised backgrounds (such as women, LGBTQ+ community, global majority, disabilities) the chance to have a voice and be heard.

This is an in-person event at a community venue TBC in Plymouth.
