Nature Based Solutions for Cities – Green Minds Conference
5th and 6th June 2023
Market Hall, Devonport, Plymouth PL1 4EL
The Green Minds partnership invites you to join our celebratory conference to showcase our success, learning, and legacy as the project reaches its conclusion. Over the last 4 years we have been piloting innovative, nature-based solutions across the city, developing urban rewilding practice and principles, and working cross-sector to ensure nature becomes a key stakeholder in our decision making and problem solving.
Together, with a great list of speakers and participants, we will be exploring the Green Minds Themes:-
- Principles and approaches to Urban Rewilding
- Nature Connectedness as a tool for Place-making
- Co-stewardship and the role of social enterprise
- Arts, culture and digital infrastructure to support nature based solutions
A full schedule including keynote speakers, workshops, and showcasing activity will be shared very soon. We’ll also be encouraging you to visit project sites within walking distance from the main venue. Tickets are free but places will be limited so to secure your tickets please register here.
But that’s not all! As a city with so much to celebrate, we would also like to showcase broader projects and organisations during the first day. Would you like a stand to showcase your project? If so, we’d love to hear from you- please email our event manager, Claire: clairelhoney@hotmail.co.uk
The event is aimed at people who are interested in, and committed to, nature based solutions for challenges we’re facing, and we aspire to reach a broad range of people: from decision makers to school children, social enterprises to community groups. For this reason, the conference will appeal to a broad range of people including nature networkers and professionals and community audiences. Please do forward the invitation to people in your network who would be keen to attend.
We look forward to welcoming you!
