Briefly describe your project

The campaign is about bridging the gap between different organisations who offer various types of support. promoting that support is different for us all. support should be as unique as the individual. Whether it is counselling, nutrition, aromatherapy, dance or group support. signposting between the services needs to improve. having long waiting lists are not helpful and are causing problems for individuals who need support with emotional well-being, we are encouraging support networks for those struggling with mental health, chronic pain and invisible conditions.

During the first round, POP members will be asked to advise you. What advice would be most helpful?

We need to be clear and concise and transparent with the pop members of our campaign

We need to collaborate and communicate well with other pop members as to our campaign goals and aspirations
We need to communicate in the community with who we are helping and who the campaign is aimed at
supporting those who have been let down by the mental health system and in need of other means of support.

we will maintain and achieve this with a collaborative of marbles and hidden lives and other pop members

Describe what you hope your Collective will achieve

We hope to achieve this by making awareness that Seeking support should not be limited to a small parcel of organisations. By only making a small part of Plymouth’s amazing community projects visible and shared by other professionals this is causing a stagnant flow of clients feeling they have nowhere to go other than the larger organisations within our city.
Plymouth has the opportunity for change, for showing our community we have support to suit all needs.
Seeking support is sometimes the hardest thing anyone can do and reaching out to be told they cant help or have waiting lists as long as an arm is something which can be and should be prevented.
Creating a connection with all organisations creating clear communication and awareness for all clients and professionals alike can help improve the current situation happening in many areas of the country. Connections between smaller organisations and larger ones can impact positively on us all. From connecting clients to connecting awareness its vital we aim to stop the shame culture happening in seeking support.

Describe how your Collective formed

Hidden lives is a professional counselling and Support Hub. We aim to support anyone and everyone who struggles with hidden conditions as we have endured personal experiences ourselves which relate to mental health or chronic pain and lived experiences. Our aim is to provide a safe and non judgemental environment to allow them to be seen, making sure they are heard, and that we are providing support for them and making sure that each individual within hidden lives is also connected with various different organisations that can also provide support.
Marbles lost and found is a mental health website, community, CIC company and support group that offers all kinds of support, well-being and more all in one place! Marbles Lost and Found is about living your life despite your mental health struggles from those who get it and helps you find what fits you to help you cope and continue, with Marbles Lost and Found you are never alone and it is OK not to be OK”
Neonatural is a lifestyle studio and biophilic design consultancy. Neonatural looks at our ancestral roots and combines that with natures power to help us physically and mentally. It’s well known being out in nature has incredible benefits for our health; we’re bringing those benefits indoors. we’re recreating a human’s natural habitat through sensory and spatial design. Thinking about colour, texture and sound, as well as considering the objects we fill our rooms with, our built environments aren’t designed for our bodies. we’re here to fix that.

Which collaboration “shape” do you expect will best describe your project?

MURMURATION – Like a flock of birds flying together, all the organisations of the collective work closely together on all aspects of the project.

In which areas would you expect most of your grant to be spent?
